The Royal Wedding...

I have been making these union -jack pictures with the Royal Wedding in mind using lovely faded, worn materials & floral prints! They're quite addictive to make - once I started one, I just wanted to move onto another! I actually started making them for a street party we are having at work which should be fun!- Enjoy the bank holiday whatever you're doing!

I have to say that I'm loving the springtime & seeing everything blossoming - so inspirational - here is another latest design of mine of an apple.

Happy mother's day everyone! - I've had a great day & received a lovely present from my two wonderful daughters - an illustration by Emmeline Pidgen of a mother & red-haired daughter tangled up in their knitting with their cat - a very appropriate image! more owls & pears!

I've been thinking a lot about owls & pears this last week & the end result is this blue owl - I think it's at dawn. I also felt inspired to by the owl &pear website to do the three pear picture. I love pears!

This picture was inspired by a beautiful book that Alie bought for Georgia, all about an artist called Vera - a wonderful book to look at about an artist/designer who I'd never heard of before.

cake & flowers...

This first picture is a new design of mine & the idea originally was for it to be a valentine's day design - the 2 butterflies flying off together amidst the flowers. The other cake pictures I think could also be used for valentine's day - who could ask for more than flowers & cake?!
